Nova School of Business and Economics ( Nova SBE ) of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon is a Portuguese Business School. The head office is located in the north of Lisbon in Campolide. The main building is a former Jesuit school from the 18th century and is the " Palacete " added another building.

History

The name Nova SBE was created by a rebranding of the Faculty of Economics, New University of Lisbon, founded in 1978. The New University of Lisbon, founded in 1973 to diversify the university landscape of Portugal as an interdisciplinary research university in Lisbon.

Due to the increasing number of students a completely new campus will be built in Carcavelos in the coming years. The site was provided to the University by the Government. By means of an architectural competition to be decided how the new campus will be designed.

International connections

Nova SBE has partnerships with 150 universities from 50 different countries. Each year, about 400 Nova SBE students at partner universities and just as much students attend the Nova SBE for an exchange. The partner universities include: Vienna University of Economics, University of Mannheim, WHU Koblenz, Indian Institute of Management, Bocconi University, ESADE Barcelona, ​​Stockholm School of Economics, University of St. Gallen, Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and London School of Economics.

Nova SBE is since 2007 a ​​member of the association of CEMS universities and was in the years 2009 and 2010 CEMS School of the Year. With accreditations from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS is the Nova SBE one of 58 global business schools that have a Triple Crown.

In Angola, the Nova SBE leads since 2010 with the Angola Business School another business school.
