Nová Ves nad Lužnicí

Nová Ves nad Lužnicí ( German Erdweis ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic with 350 inhabitants. It is located six kilometers north-west of České Velenice and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

The village is located on the left side of the Mäanderlaufes the Lainsitz on state road 103 neighboring towns are Dvory nad Lužnicí and Halámky in the north, New Nail mountain in the northeast, Krabonoš in the east, Breitensee the southeast, České Velenice in the south, Vyšné the southwest, Žofina Huť in west and Trpnouze, Hranice and Dolejší Chalupy in the northwest. Northeast of the village there is an extended quarry.

History

Since the 14th century the settlement of the area took place Weitraer. One of the resulting settlements since 1499 was detectable in the land register Weitraer village Erdweis.

Since 1784 Erdweis was gepfarrt after Zuggers. In the late 19th century, a glass factory, now under Skloform emerged as operates. After the First World War, the Lower Austrian village belonged to the part of Weitraer area, which has been granted in the Treaty of Saint- Germain in 1920 Czechoslovakia.

The Nová Ves nad Lužnicí consists of the districts Nová Ves nad Lužnicí ( Erdweis ) and Žofina Huť ( Sophienwald ) and the local documents Krabonoš ( Zuggers ) Lesní Chalupy ( Waldhauser ) and Záblatí ( Mooshäuser ).
