Novembre (band)

Novembre is a gothic metal band from Rome, Italy.

Band History

It was founded in 1990 under the name of " Catacomb " by brothers Carmelo (vocals, guitar) and Giuseppe Orlando (drums). 1991 appeared the demo Unreal, followed by the 7'' Return of the Ark. Shortly after, they changed their name to Novembre.

In 1994, Novembre her debut album, Wish I Could Dream It Again Dan Swanös Unisound studios. Two years later, Arte Novecento. The album also includes a cover version of the song Stripped by Depeche Mode is included. 1997 rose Massimiliano Paglius as a second guitarist. Until then, the group released their albums on the Italian independent label Polyphemus Records, but for their third album Classica, the group can negotiate a contract with Century Media. Mastering done by Andy Laroque (King Diamond, Evergrey ). Afterwards, the group toured with Witchery, Moonspell and Kreator and appeared at the Wave -Gotik-Treffen 2000 and 2001.

Was published in 2001 Novembrine Waltz. As a producer Novembre collaborated with Terje Refsnes, who had already produced bands like Tristania and Sins of Thy Beloved. In 2002, following Dreams Riviera was a repeat of the now out of print debut album. The songs were re-recorded for this purpose. Then a label change followed to Peaceville. The first album for the new label was a materialist (2006). This was followed by a tour with Katatonia .. As a single Memoria Stoica was disengaged.

2007 appeared The Blue. Prior to Luca Giovagnoli took over the bass. The album was produced by producer Mikko Karmila ( Nightwish, Sentenced, Amorphis ). The group played at the Summer Breeze and toured as opening act for Within Temptation.

Music style

Was the predecessor project Catacomb yet classic Death Metal with Doom impact that music style changed from the name change back to the gothic metal with relatively clear vocals.
