Nuevo Casas Grandes, also known as Casas Grandes Nueva, is a city in Mexico, Chihuahua state with 55 553 inhabitants ( 2010). It is located on the Río Casas Grandes and Río San Miguel, near the Sierra Madre Occidental. Nuevo Casas Grandes is the administrative seat of the homonymous municipality of Nuevo Casas Grandes.

History

Nuevo Casas Grandes was founded in 1870 and is named after the city a few kilometers away Casas Grandes. Because of the building of a railway line, many people migrated from near the track.
