Nyköpings Hockey

Nyköping Hockey is a Swedish professional ice hockey club was established in 1990 from Nyköping. The team plays in Division 1 and carries their home games at the Stora halls.

History

The club was founded in 1990 under the name Nyköpings Hockey 90. In 2003, the name change followed in IK Nyköping hockey, before the present name Nyköping hockey was introduced in 2007. The team took part in the then second-class Division 1 during several seasons. Subsequently, the association established in the new second division, the HockeyAllsvenskan. Following the 2007/ 08 season the team had to give up their second league license and has performed since then in the now third-rate Division 1
