O'Connell Road is a connecting road to the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. The road connects the Goulburn -Oberon Road Oberon with the Great Western Highway, the Mitchell Highway, the Mid- Western Highway and the Bathurst - Ilford Road in Bathurst. The road is designated as a main street 253.

Course

The road leads from Oberon from the northwest. Shortly before O'Connell, the only settlement on the track joins from the east, the Tarana - O'Connell Road. In O'Connell O'Connell Road runs on the west bank of the Fish River and along traverses shortly after the city's river whose lower reaches accompanied to Bathurst.

There O'Connell Road meets the Mitchell Highway / Great Western Highway ( R32), the Mid- Western Highway (R24 ) and the Bathurst - Ilford Road ( S54) and ends.

Road Conditions

The road is paved for its entire length and in width and road surface suitable for trucks.

Tourist importance

Together with the Goulburn - Obereon Road forms the O'Connell Road a remarkable and amazing direct link from Goulburn to Bathurst.
