Odil Ahmedov

Odil Ahmedov (born 25 November 1987 in Namangan ) is an Uzbek football players. He plays since 2006 Pachtakor Tashkent on the position of attacking midfielder, but is currently on loan at Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

Career

Clubs

On 16 May 2006 Ahmedov graduated at the age of 18 years in the jersey of Pachtakor Tashkent against Qizilqum Zarafshan his first professional game. His coach at the time was Valeri Nepomniachi, this was celebrated with Cameroon at the 1990 World Cup a great success. With this club he twice celebrated the Uzbek football championship three times and Uzbekistan Cup. He was also elected in 2009 Footballer of the Year in Uzbekistan. For Pakhtakor Tashkent, he completed 86 games and scored six goals. On February 9, 2011 Pakhtakors gave official site announced that Odil Ahmedov will play for one year on loan at Anzhi Makhachkala. Just four days later, he scored the winner in a 1-0 friendly match against Obolon Kyiv and thus his first goal for Anzhi Makhachkala.

National

On October 13, 2007 Odil Ahmedov graduated from Taiwan for the first time an international match for the Uzbekistan national team.

In the Asian Cup 2011 in Qatar, he met in the opening match against Qatar from about 35 meters to make it 1-0. In the group stage match against China, his second goal followed in the tournament. After a sovereign group victory in Qatar, was beaten in the quarter- finals, the team from Jordan, but then losing to Australia clearly with 0:6. In the small final his team against South Korea defeated with 2:3 and reached a surprising fourth place. After participating in the Asian Cup 2011, several clubs from Europe, Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East to the commitment of midfielder were interested.
