Offwiller
Offwiller ( German Offweiler ) is a commune with 822 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Vosges in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It is located in the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest -Vosges du Nord and is a member of the Communauté de communes du Pays de Niederbronn- les- Bains.
History
The settlement was part of the 14th century until the French Revolution the Duchy of Lorraine, and was administered by the Diocese of Strasbourg.
The Reformation took place in Offwiller in 1560.
