ÅŒizumi, Gunma
Oizumi (Japanese大 泉 町, machi ) is a town in the district of Ora (邑 楽 郡, -gun ) in Gunma Prefecture, in the middle of Japan.
Geography
The municipality is located in the west of Gunma Prefecture. In the south of the municipality of clays flows.
Is surrounded by the Oizumi Ōta the west and north, Ora in the east, in the southeast and Chiyoda Kumagaya in Saitama Prefecture to the south on the other side of the river.
History
The municipality was created on 31 March 1957 on the merger of the city Koizumi (小泉 町, machi ) with the village Ōkawa (大 川村, -mura ).
Traffic
The most important trunk road the village is the National Road 354 according to Takasaki or Hokota.
On the rail network Oizumi is connected via the Tōbu Koizumi Line to Tatebayashi. Stops in the community are Nishi- Koizumi, Koizumimachi and Higashi- Koizumi.
Attractions
An attractions exist in the municipality of the castle ruins Koizumi (小泉 城 迹, Koizumi joseki ) and the Ainohara Ruin (间 之 原 遗迹, Ainohara Iseki ) from the Jōmon period ( 3500-3000 BC), and the Buddhist temple Ryusen -ji (竜 泉 寺) and the Shinto shrine Koizumi (小泉 神社, Koizumi -jinja ).
Economy
Oizumi includes works by international corporations Sanyo and Fuji Heavy Industries, but also the printing company Toppan and frozen food company Ajinomoto Reito Shokuhin.
Education
Oizumi are the primary schools (大 泉 町 立X小学校, Oizumi- chōritsu X shōgakkō ) North (北, Kita ), South (南, minami ), West (西, nishi ) and East (东, higashi ), and the middle schools ( 大 泉 町 立中 学校X, Oizumi- chōritsu X chūgakkō ) North, South and West.
On higher education, the Nishi -ORA- secondary school (群 马 県 立 西 邑 楽 高等学校, Gunma kenritsu Nishi -ORA Kōtō Gakko ), the Oizumi High School (群 马 県 立 大 泉 高等学校, Gunma kenritsu Oizumi Kōtō Gakko ) and a technical school can (大 泉 保育 福祉 専 门 学校, Oizumi hoiku Fukushi Semmon Gakko ) are commonly attended with a specialization in child care or welfare.

Oizumi since October 1992, a sister city of the Brazilian Guaratinguetá.
