Olbrachcice, Opole Voivodeship

Olbersdorf (Polish: Olbrachcice ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Olbersdorf located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Olbersdorf is located five kilometers southeast of the municipal center Zülz, 11 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 38 kilometers southwest of the Opole voivodship.

Neighboring towns of Olbersdorf are in the northwest Zülz, in the north Altzülz ( Solec ), in the northeast Probnitz ( Browiniec Polski ), in the south Słoków ( Schlogwitz ) and in the southwest Josef reason ( Józefów ).

History

The town was founded in the first half of the 14th century and was first mentioned in 1388 as " Olbrechsdorf ".

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 411 voters voted to remain in Germany and 82 for Poland. Polish Olbersdorf remained with the German Reich. After Upper Silesia was ceded to Poland, the place name in Olbersdorf was changed. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Olbrachcice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 German was in the community Zülz, the Olbersdorf belongs introduced as a second official language. On 24 November 2008, the City also received the official German place names Olbersdorf.
