Hostess Brands, Inc. (formerly Interstate Bakeries Corporation ( IBC) ) was the largest bakery company and the largest distributor of bakery products in the United States and claiming the marks Hostess ( Twinkie ), Wonder Bread, Nature's Pride, Dolly Madison, Butternut Breads, and Drake's.

In early 2012 the company went - for the second time - into bankruptcy. Since there was no buyer and the union did not accept further salary cuts for employees, but announced an indefinite strike in this case, the management decided the end of the company in November 2012. Around 18,000 employees thus lose their jobs.
