Ole Falck Ebbell

Ole Falck Ebbell (* 1839 in Christiania, † 1919) was a Norwegian architect. Ebbell designed many buildings in Norway, but worked primarily in Trondheim.

Life

Ole Falck Ebbell was born in Christiania, today Oslo, as a son of the lawyer Ole Falck Ebbel and Anna Sofie Kloed. He studied architecture in Germany and Switzerland. After a few years in Oslo worked as he pulled 28- year-old to Trondheim, where he was a teacher of engineering and architecture at the Technical School of Trondheim, the forerunner of the Norwegian Institute of Technology, also active since 1871. In 1891 he was appointed Chief Executive of the Faculty of Architecture. He participated as a member of the Restoration Committee for the Nidaros Cathedral from 1882 to 1894.
