ORDO (journal)
The journal ORDO - Yearbook of the order of business and society is an annual publication in the field of economic and social sciences.
History
ORDO was founded by economist Walter Eucken and the political scientist Franz Böhm 1948. The magazine was and still is the central location for scientific discussion of the ordo-liberalism. The term was coined Ordoliberalismus to identify a particular neo-liberal direction on the basis of the yearbook. In ORDO Yearbook, the concept of the social market economy was developed theoretically.
ORDO today
In ORDO issues of economic and social order from an interdisciplinary social science perspective are discussed. This has so far outweigh articles by economists and lawyers against political science, sociological and philosophical contributions.
The individual ORDO volumes are approximately 400 to 500 pages long. The average article length is approximately 17 pages. Contributions are published in German or in English. To publish submitted manuscripts are externally and " double- blind" reviewed ( peer review ).
ORDO appear in print and online in publishing Lucius & Lucius, Stuttgart since 1996. The ORDO - books are regularly reviewed in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
