Orlické Podhůří

Orlické Podhůří is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-west of Ústí nad Orlicí and belongs to Okres Ústí nad Orlicí.

Geography

Orlické Podhůří is located on the right side of the Silent Eagle in Eagle foothills. Along the river carries the railway from Ústí nad Orlicí after Choceň along, at which there is a train stop in Bezpráví. East State Road 14 Ústí nad Orlicí runs after Vamberk and north of the 321 between Žamberk and Choceň. The highest point is the 543 m high at Dobra Voda Hurka, the deepest point is 310 meters above sea level in the Valley of the Silent Eagle.

Neighboring towns are Velka Skrovnice in the north, České Libchavy in the northeast, Libchavy in the east, Kerhartice and Ústí nad Orlicí the southeast, Hradek and Sudislav nad Orlicí in the south, Oucmanice the southwest, Brandys nad Orlicí in the west and Podlesí and Seč in the northwest.

History

The quarters are 13th and 14th century is documented. They originated mainly during the colonization of the area by the Saxon noble family of Brandis.

Between 1842 and 1845 was originated in the Valley of the Silent Eagle of the construction of the railroad from Prague to Olomouc and the monolayer Luh and Bezpráví. Since the replacement of patrimonial regimes in 1848 passed the independent communities of Dobra Voda, Rviště and Ricky. Up to Rozsochy 2.díl that counted nad Orlicí in the District Commission Rychnov nad Kněžnou for the judicial district Kostelec, all other parts of the church today were from 1850 onwards for the judicial district of Ústí nad Orlicí District Lanškroun belonging.

In 1949, Dobra Voda was incorporated into Rviště. 1960 also saw the incorporation of Ricky. By eingemeindeten villages when resistance to the municipality of origin Rviště developed because all three locations were approximately equivalent. This eventually led to the church on February 16, 1961 neutral name Orlické Podhůří ( = Podorlicko ) received.

In 1961, the two parts of Rozsocha were also pooled. Until then Rozsocha was 1.díl (now Horni Rozsocha ) belonging to Rviště while Rozsocha 2.díl ( Dolni Rozsocha today ) was a district of Velka Skrovnice.

Luh is the only part of the municipality on the left side of the river, he was, together with Perná to 1949 the municipality Sudislav nad Orlicí and thereafter until 1960 Rviště. Until 1980 also Bezpráví and Luh districts were considered, then lost that status because they have no permanent residents more. Seat of the commune office is in Dobra Voda.
