Oscar Bernardi

José Oscar Bernardi ( born March 3, 1953 in Monte Sião, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil), artist name, Oscar, is a former Brazilian football player and coach. In the years 1978 to 1986, he completed 60 games as a defender for the Brazilian national football team and participated in three World Cups.

After end of his career as a player in Japan at Nissan Motors (1987-1989), he became a coach (1989-1991) and then worked with seven other clubs as a football coach until 1998. In 1988 he was elected Footballer of the Year in Japan.
