Oskar Peterlini

Oskar Peterlini ( born September 19, 1950 in Bolzano ) is a German- Italian politician from South Tyrol, was from 2001 to 2013 Senator of the Republic, 1978-1998 Member of the South Tyrolean Landtag and the Regional Council of Trentino -Alto Adige Autonomous Region and from 1988 to 1998 its president. From 2000 to 2010 was chairman of the SVP Peterlini District lowlands. After leaving active politics, he was contract professor at the Free University of Bolzano.

Life

Peterlini was born on September 19, 1950 in Bolzano and lives in Branzoll; after the humanistic Matura in Bolzano, he studied business administration at the Universities of Modena, Innsbruck and Venice as well as portfolio management in New York. Peterlini his doctorate at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Innsbruck. Peterlini speaks his native language Italian and English and has basic knowledge of Japanese (his wife is from Japan).

Peterlinis brother is the journalist Hans Karl Peterlini. Peterlini has four children.

Political career

Peterlini was 1972-1979 only director and then chairman of the Young Generation in the South Tyrolean People's Party ( SVP). 1978 than it was then moved Peterlini youngest member in the regional Trentino-Alto Adige and the South Tyrolean Landtag. Peterlini was 1983, 1988 and 1993, re-elected. From 1980 to 1988, Peterlini SVP leader in the regional council; 1983 to 1993 he was President of the State Parliament Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance; In 1988, he was Vice President of the South Tyrolean Landtag; 1988-1998 First Vice- President, then President of the Regional Council.

Peterlini is considered ideator and was since 1989 director of the project PensPlans, a supplementary pension institution, which in the region of Trentino -Alto Adige own Pensionsfondsanbietet. Pensplan manages the pension fund laboratory fund, Pensplan Plurifonds, Pensplan professional and Pensplan Raiffeisen. Peterlini was also the founder and director of the Center for Regional supplementary pensions and savings management company PensPlan Invest.

In the Italian parliamentary elections on 13 May 2001 Senate constituency Bolzano Lowlands Peterlini was elected to the Senate of the Republic ( list SVP Ulivo ), 9 April 2006 ( SVP Unione ) and on 13 April 2008 ( SVP autonomy) re-elected. Peterlini was board member in the Senate, first in the Labour and Social Committee (2001-2008), since 2006 in the Constitutional Committee, since 2008, the Committee for Education and Culture, and from 2008 to 2010 in the Committee on the Environment. He was a member of the parliamentary delegation of the Central European Initiative (CEI ) and President of CEI Culture Commission. At the 2013 parliamentary elections, he no longer went to.
