Geographical location

Otterbach lies north- west of Kaiserslautern at the mouth of Otterbachs in the volume.

The municipality consists of the two districts Otterbach and Sambach. The hamlet Otterbach includes the residential places Falltal and Sambacher brick hut.

History

South of the village was located on the Schlossberg the missing Sterrenberg castle.

On June 7, 1969, until then independent municipality Sambach was incorporated into Otterbach.

Coat of arms
