Oyndarfjørður

Oyndarfjørður [ ˌ ɔindaɹ FJO ː ɹʊɹ ] (Danish: Ande Fjord ) is a place of the Faroe Islands on the east coast Eysturoys the same fjord.

The municipality Oyndarfjørður consisted of this one place. It was merged on 1 January 2005 the municipality Runavík.

The typical Faroese wooden church with its grass roof dates from the year 1838. The village has a campsite and a youth hostel ( for some years closed).

On the beach are the famous Rinkusteinar, two rocks that move with the waves. To illustrate this effect, a rope to the shore is clamped, so constantly tightens loose again and leaves.
