Paavo Lukkariniemi

Paavo Lukkariniemi ( born April 14, 1941 in Ylitornio ) is a former Finnish ski jumper.

Lukkariniemi, who started for the Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, completed its first international jumping on December 27, 1964 in Oberstdorf. He finished jumping on the 15th Place. A year later, he jumped at the opening event of the Four Hills Tournament 1965/66 for the first time on the podium and reached the 3rd place. When jumping in Partenkirchen January 1, 1966, he was able to win first jumping. It was the only victory of his career. After a 5th place in Innsbruck and a 20th place in Bischofshofen, he was fourth at the end of the tour overall standings.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1966, he won on the normal hill behind Bjørn Wirkola and Dieter Neuendorf the bronze medal.
