Palafox Battalion

The Palafox Battalion was a largely Polish- Spanish Battalion of the International Brigades in the Spanish Civil War. It was named after the Spanish General José de Palafox. The Palafox Battalion became part of the 150th Brigade, together with the Polish Dabrowski Battalion, the Hungarian Rakosi Battalion ( Rakosi ) and the French-Belgian - André Marty Battalion. The battalion was formed from brigade members from Poland and the Soviet Union, as well as Spanish Brigadists of pasionaria Battalion on 28 June 1937.
