Paoni

Pa -en- inet (Greek Payni; Coptic Paoni; Arab Ba'ouna ) was in the Egyptian calendar, the ancient Egyptian name of the second month of the season Schemu and represented the period from early April to early May. The name of the month is derived from the associated Talfest.

Referred to in the New Kingdom lunar calendar month Pa -en- inet is occupied from the records of the 12th dynasty as month Chenti - chet for the beginning of wheat harvest several times and in the administrative calendar with the initial work for the then first Peretmonat (end of March / beginning of April) stated.
