Pascal Behrenbruch

Pascal Behr break (born 19 January 1985 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German track and field athlete, who competes in the decathlon. His biggest success is winning the European Championship in 2012. He starts for the club LG Eintracht Frankfurt, ended in June 2006, his training as an IT businessman and works as a sports consultant for executives at the airport company Fraport at Frankfurt am Main airport. Behr fraction is trained by Andrei Nazarov and Erki Nool. His current competition weight is 94 kg at a height of 1.96 m.

Sports career

Pascal Behr break came the age of six to athletics. At 15, he became German champion in the eight- fight, also Hessischer champion fight night, high jump, shot put, discus and javelin.

2002 won Behr break in the Youth B the German championship in the javelin and decathlon. For four years he held the German giants in the Youth B (male under 18 years ), which was improved on September 2, 2006 by Jan Felix Knobel. In the A- Youth 2003 he was German champion in the decathlon, a year later vice-champion in the javelin and Hessian champion in shot put, discus and javelin.

For the European Championships 2006 in Gothenburg Behr break was only nominated because the indoor world champion and World Cup Fourth of Helsinki, Andre Niklaus, had to cancel because of a foot injury. It was in this competition with 8209 points as the best German Fifth and increased its personal best by ten points. In 2007 he occupied at the U-23 European Championships in Debrecen second place, but he improved his best performance at 8239 points.

After just missing out on qualification for the 2008 Olympic Behr fraction presented in multi- fight meeting in the Austrian Götzis on 31 May 2009 with 8374 points, a new personal record, reaching the third place. At the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, he finished sixth and was able to improve his own record by 65 points on 8439 points.

In 2010, he surpassed the beginning of the season in Götzis just the norm for the European Championships in Barcelona. But after an injury he had to provide proof of performance, which the German Athletics Federation looked after the national championships as failed. Behr break went against this decision before legally, but remained unsuccessful. In Talence with a German Jahresbestleistung of 8202 points and a second place he had a conciliatory end of the season.

At the 2011 World Championships Behr break was seventh. His biggest success he achieved in the following year at the European Championships in 2012 when he won the title with the new personal best of 8558 points. It was the first gold in the men's decathlon EM for a German athletes since 1971. During the Olympic Games in London in the same year he finished tenth.

With 8,514 points, Behr break in 2013 qualified for the World Cup in Moscow, where he was disappointed eleventh with 8,316 points.
