Pat Kavanagh (ice hockey)

Patrick Kavanagh ( born March 14, 1979 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was under contract with HC Val Pusteria in the Italian Serie A1 since summer 2012.

Career

Pat Kavanagh began his hockey career in 1995 at the Kanata Valley Lasers from the Canadian Junior Hockey League. In 1996 he moved to the Peterborough Petes in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. After his first season, the Philadelphia Flyers pulled the Canadians in the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 in the second round to 50th place overall. However, Kavanagh stayed two more years in the OHL and improved his scoring values ​​each year. In summer 1999, Kavanagh was transferred to a sixth- round draft pick in the organization of the Vancouver Canucks. He first played one season at Syracuse Crunch farm team in the American Hockey League.
