Patrick Rakovsky ( born June 2, 1993 Olpe ) is a German football goalkeeper. He is since 2011 in the Bundesliga 1 FC Nuremberg under contract.

Career

With the football Patrick Rakovsky began in Sauerland, when he joined the SC plates - Germingshausen. After that he played until 1999 when FC Schreibershof. After moving his family to the Czech Republic Rakovsky played a year in the youth of FK Dukla Prague, then moved to Sparta Prague for three years and then for one year at Slavia Prague. In 2004 he returned to Sparta Prague and was with the U -15 Czech Master. Shortly thereafter, Rakovsky returned to Germany, where he joined the FC Schalke 04. With his new club, he became an instant Westphalia Cup winner. These achievements earned him an invitation to the German U -15 national team, where he played his first international game in a friendly match against Poland. Vocations in other DFB youth teams followed. With the U- 19 of Schalke 04 in 2011, he was runner-up in the Bundesliga West and re- Westphalia Cup winner.

In July 2011, he received his first professional contract with 1.FC Nuremberg. The 187 cm and 82 kg Rakovsky impressed in pre-season with good performances and let in the hierarchy the -budgetary second goalkeeper Alexander Stephan behind. Nuremberg coach Dieter Hecking designated Rakovsky as keeper of the modern generation: "He's a gambling goalkeeper who is strong on the line and can handle the ball. " In 2012, he was the DFB with the Fritz -Walter - Medal in bronze as one of the best young players in his age group (U -19) awarded.
