Paul Ch'eng Shih-kuang

Paul Shih Ch'eng -kuang (Chinese成 世 光, Pinyin Chéng Shiguang; born September 15, 1915 in Hsiao -yi, Taiwan, † 23 August, 2012 Taizhong ) was Bishop of Tainan.

Life

Paul Shih Ch'eng -kuang received on 29 June 1943, the ordination.

Pope John XXIII. 1960 appointed him titular bishop of Uccula and auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Tainan. The Archbishop of Beijing, Cardinal Thomas Tien Ken -sin, consecrated him bishop on 25 July 1960; Co-consecrators were Joseph Kuo Joshih, Archbishop of Taipei, and Thomas Niu Hui -ching, Bishop of Yangku.

He was a Council Father of all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

In 1966, by Pope Paul VI. the appointment of the second Bishop of Tainan. 1969/70, he was also Apostolic Administrator of the diocese Kiayi. In 1990, Pope John Paul II to his age-related withdrawal.
