Pazmany PL-4

The Pazmany PL -4A is a single-engine, single-seat light aircraft developed by the Pazmany Aircraft Corporation for aircraft DIY.

History and construction

The PL -4A first flew in 1972 and is provided for the self. There are therefore only sells the plans. Alone 686 1985 were sold. The PL- 4A is a conventional low-wing monoplane with an enclosed cabin and fixed spur wheel chassis. The machine has a T-tail for folding the wings easier. The model is an all-metal construction, with standard extruded profiles for the spars. The standard engine is an air cooled Volkswagen engine with 60 PS (45 kW). The construction period is estimated at around 1,000-1,500 hours.

The PL -4A won the 1972 "Outstanding New Design" and " Outstanding Contribution to Low-Cost Fly" awards from the Experimental Aircraft Association.
