Pečenice

Pečenice (Hungarian Hontbesenyőd - to 1888 Pecsenic ) is a municipality in the district of Levice Slovakia, the ( STIAVNICKE Hills ) is located on the western edge of the Selmec mountains. It has about 120 inhabitants who work mainly in agriculture. It is a well known wine village, almost every family has their own blends.

The village was mentioned in 1135 for the first time in writing as Sceleus (which Hungarian as much as " vineyard " means ). Through the town flows the river Jabloňovka.

There is a stone collection the legend that in her a tunnel leads to the Hungarian border.
