Pedro María Artola

Pedro María Artola Urrutia ( born September 6, 1948 in Andoain, Guipuzcoa Province ) is a former Spanish footballer.

Playing career

Artola goalkeeper began his playing career with the team of Real Sociedad 1967. 1973 he came into the first team and remained there for two years before moving to the big Spanish club FC Barcelona. In nine years in Catalonia, the Basque won three times the Spanish Cup and the Spanish Super Cup once. He also won in the 1978/79 season in the final against Fortuna Dusseldorf the European Cup Winners' Cup. This success could Artola, this time as a substitute goalkeeper, repeated in the 1981/82 season. In 1978 he was honored as the best goalie of the Spanish league. Artola ended his career in 1984
