Peel en Maas

Peel en Maas is a new community that is created on 1 January 2010 from the merger of the municipalities heroes, boilers, Maasbree and Meijel. The municipality has 43 299 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Policy

Found on 18 November 2009 because of community formation take place early elections. The council consists of 27 members, spread over seven parties and groups. Successes include the CDA with 12, the list combination PvdA / GL 4 and the VVD with 3 seats. The other seats are distributed among local groups who have decided to form themselves into a group with the name Lokaal Peel en Maas.

Community name
