The domestic chicken breed dwarf -Cochin (former designation Peking Bantam ) is an ancient Chinese bantam breed. It belongs to the " Urzwergen " and exists in 24 different shades of color. Of these there are five color varieties with curly feathers.

These spring- rich, subscript and everywhere well rounded chickens with Fußbefiederung mentioned in breeder circles as " rolling badminton ". The animals are einfachkämmig.

Dwarf -Cochin are robust animals, but they need due to the low position and the Fußbefiederung a clean, dry and stable outlet. The dense plumage also requires a thorough parasite prophylaxis.

The animals are held solely because of their attractive appearance and are very tame. The breed is easily possible since the hens are clucking reliable.

Great shape

The existing large breed Cochin has a completely different origin than the dwarf -Cochin. Only the exterior is very similar. There is no known major form of dwarf -Cochin.
