Pembroke is a town in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Georgia, located about 50 km northwest of Savannah. The city is part of the Bryan County, whose headquarters is located in Pembroke. 2000 Pembroke had 2379 inhabitants in an area of 19.8 km ², / km ² gives a population density of 46.1 inhabitants.

Pembroke was founded in 1892 and at that time was significantly influenced by the running here railway line and through the role as an outlet for turpentine. It was named after living in the founding period in the city inhabitants Pembroke Whitfield Williams. 1905, the place was for their own community. The county seat was located before 1935 in Clyde, stipulated as a vote for Pembroke new seat. The County began its work in Pembroke on with the first meeting of the County Commission on 15 February 1937.

On 8 April 1998 parts of the city fell victim to a tornado.

Pembroke is the birthplace of jazz musician Jabbo Smith.
