Peney -le- Jorat was a municipality in the district of Gros- de -Vaud in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Peney -le- Jorat merged on 1 July 2011 with several other municipalities to the new community Jorat Menthue.

Geography

Peney -le- Jorat is located on 841 m above sea level. Level, 15 km north- northeast of the canton capital Lausanne ( straight line ). The scattered village extends on a plateau on the Northern Slope of the high plateau of the Jorat, in the Vaud Mittelland.

History
