PESA 120Na

The Type 120Na SWING - is a five-piece, 100% low-floor tram articulated railcar manufacturer PESA Bydgoszcz, Poland. It was created as an evolution of the type already used in Warsaw 120N.

Compared to the previous Type 120N the 120Na received a differently designed, somewhat beefy front end. What is striking is the significantly lower percentage share of seats (40 4 spare seats instead of 63 at 120N ).

The 120Na is produced pursuant to a contract dated 29 May 2009, which provides for the delivery of a total of 186 copies in the period 2010-2013. It should be by the end of 2012 100 units are in service. In May 2010, the first copy was delivered to Warsaw, subjected to extensive testing and first used on June 1 in passenger service. In February 2011, Stettin received his first SWING, the 5 additional copies followed in March.

13 June 2010 drove the first production copy, which according to the manufacturer was followed by a second car in August. By the end of 27 pieces were delivered at the beginning of the 2012 European Football Championship, there will be a total of 120 pieces. To all copies ordered 186 be in operation and replace the already over 40 years old 13N and most 105Na by 2013.
