Petko Jordanov Christov

Petko Hristov Yordanov, OFM Conv (also Petko Hristov Yordanov wrote, Bulgarian Петко Йорданов Христов; born 19 October 1950 Waltschewo ) is Bishop of Nicopolis.

Life

Petko Hristov joined the Order of the Friars Minor and received on 15 December 1985, the ordination. John Paul II appointed him on 18 October 1994 as Bishop of Nicopolis.

The Pope consecrated him on 6 January of the following year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re, substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Jorge María Mejía, secretary of the Congregation for Bishops.
