Phil Aucoin

Phil Aucoin ( born November 12, 1981 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Reading Royals in the ECHL under contract.

Career

As a junior he played for the Norwich University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. From 2004 he played for the Memphis RiverKings in the Central Hockey League and was with 73 points in the top 10 scorers in the league. In the same season he played two games for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League. The 2005/06 season he played in the ECHL for the Charlotte Checkers and the Florida Everblades and returned a year later in the CHL to the Memphis RiverKings back. For the 2007/2008 season he moved to the Star Bulls Rosenheim. However, he left the club in a cloak-and -dagger operation after 9 games back in the USA.

Once in the U.S., he played a game with the Albany River Rats in the AHL. He then moved on, however, to the Mississippi River Kings in the ECHL. After he had completed some games there he moved in January 2008 to Europe again to the Nijmegen Devils in the Netherlands.

Aucoin finished the 2009/10 season as top scorer of the Dutch Championship and won with the Nijmegen Devils for the first time the championship. In August 2010, he signed with the league rivals HYS The Hague. On 13 July 2011, the striker of the Reading Royals of the ECHL was contracted, for which, however, he completed no league game.
