Philippe Lemaire
Philippe Lemaire ( born March 14, 1927 in Moussy- le- Neuf, † March 15, 2004 in Paris) was a French actor.
Life
Lemaire had a dramatic childhood: After his father, a sailor, had died when Philippe was two years old, disappeared without a trace seven years later his mother, so that he grew up in the home. After his military service in the Navy Lemaire became an actor and made his debut after his training with René Simon in 1944 in the movie. Soon he had success in roles as a young go-getter; later he played primarily in adventure and historical films.
His later career took place mainly on the screen in guest roles in television series.
Lemaire was three times married, including 1953-1956 with Juliette Greco, with whom he had a daughter. He committed suicide on the day after his 77th birthday suicide.
