Physa

Physa marmorata

The genus Physa is the namesake genus of the family of bladder snails ( Physidae ) (and their subfamily and tribe Physinae Physini ). The family will be provided to the suborder water snails ( Basommatophora ) of the snails ( Pulmonata ).

Features

The housing is linksgewunden, two elongate body lugs grip the housing. The apex is relatively dull.

System

The systematic scope of the genus is controversial, depending on how far the genus is taken to be asked a few species or several orders of species to the genus. Many species have been described under the generic name Physa, have today been assigned to other genera. In Central Europe, only one species is found.
