Piae cantiones

Piae Cantiones or of more detailed Title: Piae Cantiones ecclesiasticae et scholasticae veterum episcoporum ( Pious church and school songs of the old bishops ) is a Swedish-Finnish collection of church and school songs, which was compiled in the 16th century by a student. She first appeared in 1582 in Greifswald in Latin. The collection contains both monophonic and polyphonic pieces, the voices are, however, individually, in the White mensural noted.
