Piazzola sul Brenta

Piazzola sul Brenta is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 11,151 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Province of Padua in Veneto. The municipality is situated approximately 18 kilometers north- west of Padua, and about 16 kilometers east of Vicenza on the west bank of the Brenta. Piazzola sul Brenta is immediately adjacent to the province of Vicenza.

History

From the Renaissance villas Contarini and Paccagnella are obtained, which were built by Andrea Palladio and this can be attributed.

Traffic

The municipality is situated on the provincial roads 10, 75 and 94, the former railway line from Padua Piazzola sul Brenta Carmignano di Brenta has been closed down in 1958.
