Pic de Nore

The summit with the transmission tower

The Pic de Nore is at an altitude of 1211 m, the highest peak in the mountain range Montagne Noire, a southern foothills of the Massif Central. It is located in the municipality Pradelles- Cabardès in the Aude department in southern France. On its slopes the rivers Arnette and Clamoux and it is therefore part of the European watershed between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.

About the Summit, the D87 of Pradelles -Cabardès leads to Mazamet. On the road over the mountain bike race will be held regularly. Directly on the top there is a radio station.

The French GR 36 passes directly over the summit.
