Pierre Dieudonné

Pierre Dieudonné ( born March 24, 1947 in Brussels ) is a former Belgian racing driver.

Career in motorsports

Pierre Dieudonné was known primarily as a touring and sports car racing driver. He began his career in Monopostosport however. About the Formula Super V 1975 he came to the British Formula 3 Championship. In 1975 he finished this race series at the ninth place overall. With little experience in closed sports car 1976 he scored a surprising success. With teammate Jean Xhenceval he secured four victories and he was crowned at the end of the season for the European Touring Car Champion.

Despite this success, the Belgians in the next few years trying to grasp in Formula 3 feet. After several unsuccessful attempts, he went on successfully touring car races and increased in 1981 as a factory driver from Mazda in the World Sportscar Championship in. Twice, in 1974 and 1981, he won the 24 - hour race at Spa-Francorchamps.

At the 24 - hour race at Le Mans was his best finish of sixth place overall in 1982. Overall, the Belgians won at 20 touring car race and finished 52 times in touring and sports car races on the podium of the first three.
