Pierre Edmond Teisserenc de Bort

Pierre Edmond Teisserenc de Bort, (* September 17, 1814 in Châteauroux, † July 29, 1892 in Paris ) was a French politician

Pierre Edmond Teisserenc de Bort was formed on the École Polytechnique, he became an engineer in the management of the tobacco monopoly, on government commissioner at various railway companies, co-founder of the railway Paris -Lyon -Mediterranean, in the February 1871 Member of the National Assembly, where he joined the conservative Republicans joined. In 1846 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies, but moved by the February Revolution in 1848 into private life.

From April 23 1872 to May 25, 1873 he was Minister of Commerce and in 1876 a member of the Senate. March 9, 1876 to 17 May 1877, and December 13, 1877 to 4 February 1879, he held back the office of the Minister for Trade. In 1880 he went as ambassador to Vienna. In 1882 he was again a member of the Senate.
