Pierre Thiriet

Pierre Thiriet ( April 20, 1989 in Epinal ) is a French racing driver. He will start in 2012 in the European Le Mans Series.

Career

Thiriet began his motorsport career in touring car racing in 2009 in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy. For TDS Racing startetend he scored two podium finishes and finished fifth in the drivers' standings. In 2010 he stayed with TDS Racing in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy. Together with his team mate Nick Catsburg drove Thiriet for the title. He won two races and scored nine podium finishes. Finally counter Catsburg he lost by 134 to 161 points and finished the season in second place.

2011 moved Thiriet in endurance racing. He started for TDS Racing in the LMP2 class of the Le Mans Series. Together with his teammates Mathias Beche and Jody Firth, he twice won the LMP2 classification. Thiriet finished the season along with his teammates from fourth place in the LMP2 standings. In addition, he made his debut at this year's 24 - hour race at Le Mans. For Luxury Racing, he raced in the LMGTE Pro category.
