The Pigne d' Arolla

The Pigne d' Arolla is a 3'790 m above sea level. M. high mountain in Switzerland, near Arolla and the border with Italy.

It was first climbed on July 9, 1865 by Adolphus Warburton Moore, Horace Walker, and mountain guide Jakob Anderegg.

The ascent on normal route is from the north of the Cabane des Dix at the upper end of the Val d' Hérémence ( Walking time: approx 4 hours), from the east of the Cabane des Vignettes at the upper end of the Val d' Arolla. ( about 2 hours).
