Pimpri -Chinchwad ( Marathi: पिंपरी चिंचवड, Pimpri Ciñcavaḍ ) is an industrial city with about 1.7 million inhabitants ( 2011 census ) in the agglomeration of Pune in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located 191 km south-east of the capital of Maharashtra and India's largest city Mumbai. The city's population spoke mostly Marathi.

Several large industrial groups such as Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, Kinetic, Bajaj Tempo and SKF have settled in Pimpri -Chinchwad.
