Pio Fedi

Pio Fedi ( born June 7, 1815 in Viterbo, † May 31, 1892 in Florence ) was an Italian sculptor and engraver.

Life and work

Pio Fedi made ​​initially in Florence trained as a goldsmith with a master on the Ponte Vecchio. After that, he was at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence students of Raffaello Morghen ( drawing) and Giovanni Garaviglia ( copper engraving ).
