Pístina

Pístina ( German Pistin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic with about 200 inhabitants. It is located 13 kilometers south-west of Hradec Jindřichův and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

Pístina located between the Nová Řeka and Nežárka in a pond landscape on the western foothills of the highlands Javořická at the transition into the Trebon Basin.

Neighboring towns are Straz nad Nežárkou in the north, Dolni Lhota in the northeast, Příbraz in the east, and Prohanidla Libořezy the southeast, Mníšek in the south, Stříbřec in the southwest and MLAKA and Nový Radov in the northwest.

History

Pístina was first documented in 1397 in the wake of a pledge to the Lords of Hradec. Then came the place on the side line, the Lords of Straz, which expired in 1474 with Georg / Jiřík, a son of Colonel land steward Henry / Henry of Straz. After that, the owners changed from before 1577 Wilhelm von Rosenberg acquired the village.

Gepfarrt the place to the Church of St. Peter and Paul was in Straz nad Nežárkou.
