Plouarzel

Plouarzel ( Plouarzhel Breton ) is a commune with 3663 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the north- west of Brittany in the département of Finistère.

Geography

The municipality is located on the Atlantic coast of the Côte des Abers. Brest is situated 18 kilometers southeast of Paris and about 520 kilometers east (in straight line ). On the northern boundary of the municipality of the river But Ildut runs.

Population

The population in Plouarzel remained from the early 1960s until the 1990s largely constant. Since then, in the community to this day a continued strong population growth is recorded.
