Polysayevo

Polyssajewo (Russian Полысаево ) is a city in the Russian Kemerovo Oblast (Western Siberia) with 27 624 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located in the central part of the Kuzbass, about 140 km south of the Oblasthauptstadt Kemerovo and only 5 km southeast of Leninsk- Kuznetsk, the river Inja. The climate is continental.

The city is the Polyssajewo Oblast administratively subordinated directly. The city's two villages with a total population of 3124 subordinated, so that the total population of the administrative unit " city Polyssajewo " is 30 966 ( 2009 calculation ).

Polyssajewo is located on the opened on this section in 1926 a railroad from Jurga on the Trans -Siberian Railway to Novokuznetsk. Since 1934, results from the few kilometers south station Project Well ( Проектная ) a railway to Novosibirsk.

History

Polyssajewo in 1952 as a miner - urban-type settlement, which was managed by the city Leninsk- Kuznetsk. On 30 October 1989, the city of Leninsk- Kuznetsk was separated and received independent city status.

In addition to the coal industry with the shafts Oktjabrskaja ( Октябрьская ) and Polyssajewskaja ( Полысаевская ) and the mining Mochowski ( Моховский ) is represented by a plant for precast concrete building materials industry.
