Pontécoulant (crater)

Pontécoulant is an impact crater in the southern part of the Moon front, southwest of Mare Australe, east of the crater Hagecius. The rim is eroded with distinct, multiple terraces, the crater interior is largely flat.

The crater was founded in 1935 by the IAU by the French astronomer Philippe Gustave le Doulcet comte de Pontécoulant, officially named.
